Dance Class Dress Code

Mommy & Me (2 Year Olds)
Dancers may wear any comfortable clothing to dance in. Ballet shoes are recommended but not required. Street shoes are not allowed on the dance floors.

Tippy Toes (3 Year Olds) / Tiny Ties & Tutus (3-4 Year Olds) / Kidance (4-5 Year Olds) / Bowties & Tutus / Mini Tap Jazz
Dancers may wear any style of color leotard and tights. Appropriate shoes will be needed for classes (ballet shoes for ballet, tap shoes for tap, jazz shoes for jazz) . Hair needs to be in ponytail or bun.

Ballet
Dancers may wear any style of black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be in a clean bun.

Jazz / Musical Theatre
Dancers may wear jazz pants, booty shorts, or any other TIGHT fitting clothing that is comfortable to dance in. Jazz shoes will be needed for musical theatre, jazz technique, and jazz combo classes. Hair should be in bun.

Acro / Lyrical
Dancers may wear jazz pants, booty shorts, or any other TIGHT fitting clothing that is comfortable to dance in. For lyrical hair needs to be in bun. For Acro hair should be in ponytail.

Hip Hop and Tap
Dancere should wear sweats, basketball shorts, and any other loose fitting clothing. Tap dancers need to have tap shoes. All hip hop dancers should have tennis shoes, but not shoes that they wear outside preferably. (Rocks come onto the studio floors and can damage the floor). Hair can be down or in a ponytail for hip hop and tap.

Summit Dance Works is very strict about their dress code. If a dancer shows up unprepared for any of these classes, they may be asked not to dance and observe for that day.
